Barry, I did find Pvt. Clifton in the same places as you But I do not have him listed for Clinton Tennesse is about 4hrs from where I live. I would try contacting the Sevier Co. Library they have a excellent geneology department and alot of helpful researchers. I would also try posting a message on SmokyMtnkin.com.
