William B. Buchanan, Dover

Need help finding William B. Buchanan of Dover, TN, born 1830 and died 1872 in Dover, TN. I am certain that he was Pvt. William Buchanan of Weller's Co., TN. Light Artillery. The military record simply says that he left on a hospital boat. I find it hard to believe that at his age, he went home to Dover for the remainder of the War.

He is not William B. Buchanan of 12TN or 13TN Cav. USA. That man had several relatives in the unit and was from East TN. My best guess is that he is William Buchanan, 10th KY Cavalry, CSA that was organized one or two counties away from home or William Buchanan 6th TN Cav, CSA.

Can anyone tell me something that would confirm or rule out either of these possibilities?
