In my research into the piloting career of Capt. Daniel Ellis I have seen several references to a reward offered for his death or capture -- but I have never seen anything official. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I might find Confederate documentation of a reward for Ellis? He is, by the way, not mentioned in the OR, in any form that I can conceive.
