"Tennesseans in the Civil War, Parts I & II" were published in the early 1960's by the Tennessee Civil War Centennial Commission. It is unlikely they would republish it to correct a typo, however, you may want to check the Compiled Military Service Record of the soldier to see how it appeared in the record. It could be that it was wrong there and as a result picked up in "Tennesseans in the Civil War, Part 2." I did make the pen and ink change in my Part II.
