Thanks for your interest. I was trying to help someone at a church in Hopkinsville with her relative, Jame Benton Neil, geneology search. I am now stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

"The Carter House" in Nashville has a Civil War museum with a special display of items donated by the family of the confederate surgeon, James Benton Neil. I am not sure if the reunion sword is there. You might want to contact the curater of "The Carter House", Mr. Thomas Cartwright.

Tom is very knowledgeable about James Benton Neil and the remaining local family members. Let me know what you find out. I will let you know if I can remember the family member I talked with in Hopkinsville!
