The Joel Boyd Cemetery is only a couple of miles up the Trace from US 79 and and maybe a quarter mile or so to the west of the Trace on Boyd Road. It is a rather small cemetery that has not been regularly kept. Boyd Memorial Cemetery is several miles further west, is well kept, and in the Tennessee River valley, not the Cumberland River valley.
