Gustavus Brandon was born in 1818 in the country of Prussia, and was 45 years old when he enlisted May 18, 1863. After the war he lived in Knoxville where he was a successful surgeon. He died December 15, 1872 leaving behind a wife and four children. I also ordered his pension file, and came back as no record.
