Re: Union Bushwhackers in Pall Mall

Ok, it was in the mid-eighties when I traveled to Pall Mall with my family, to visit some of my father's third or fourth cousins. The house you describe belonged to my three greats grandfather Frederick, that we visited on that trip. The people you talked with were the descendants of my great great grandfather's older brother. I can rember my grandfather telling stories passed to him by his grandfather; about seeing his cousin shoot his father during the last days of the war,and this nephew bragging about the deed numerous times while inviting himself to Sunday dinner as the reason for the name change. My great great grandfather would have been about five years old at the time, but had the murder of his father by his cousin seared into his memory.
