Ken, I don't know much about the battle, but have been there several times over the years. I saw a map several years ago of the battlefield and it looks to me like a large part of it is now the fairgrounds. A lot of the ridges had earth works on them at the time of the battle. I do remember that Blue and Gray Magazine had a real good article sometime back, with some great maps.
