I appreciate your thoughts. The William L. Goode 2nd MS was in fact William T. Goode the brother of James H. Goode I have all of the information for him, and he did not draw a pension as he was single and killed at the battle of Sharpsburg.

Strange about James as all of the information I find on him is the same - Co E, 2nd TN Infantry, although I have been told that not all soldiers appear on the mircrofilm roles.

I will continue to try and find more info.
