Randolph was on the maps then as it is now. The Official Records and newspapers give accounts of the event and what led to the illegal and un-Christian action of burning the town. My interest in the event is in researching the Confederate officer that tried to capture the steamboat that led to the burning of the town. I have a MA degree in history and am a US military veteran.
