Thanks once again for the assistance; I'm not upset about having an ancestor (direct or collateral) that served as a guerrilla. I have a direct ancestor who may have served as one in the Cumberland Plateau region. My earlier postings may have been a combination of personal joy over finding another relative that served (on either side) and of the technical views of a trained historian. I find it very interesting after studying the actions of some of the more infamous irregulars of the war; that Pleasant was one. That un-warlike name was probably the reason he was listed as P.H.
