Mr. Waters,

In Ducktown, TN there is a grave of US Army officer Clayton Fain who was allegedly murdered by Gatewood's men near the present site of Copperhill in 1864. Clayton was a native of Fannin County, GA and from what I understand was the sole Unionist in his family. I believe his murder is attributed to Gatewood on the back of his grave stone. If you like, I can provide a photo of the marker when I am in the area.
