As far as this Cornelius McGuire, I have no proof that it is or isn't the Cornelius I am looking for. Lincoln Co. is near Hamilton County. But if it is the Cornelius I am looking for then he would not be my gg grandmothers father. She was born in 1868 and he died in 1862. Now it could be that this Cornelius was Mary Ann Cody's husband, died during the Civil War, and then she had several more children with an unknown man? I do not know and I do not have the answers. I may never have the answers. Thanks for all your help.
