Dr. Cooling,
All the advertisement I have seen portrays the book as a biography. Is there a disclaimer by the author? I might be willing to check out the book from a library, but I am skeptical of anyone passing off folklore as fact or not making an attempt to separate the two. And you need to come up with some facts to convince me that Captain Hinson was a "murderer" rather than a patriot. My understanding is that he only killed Union soldiers dressed in uniform. If a foreign army invaded my home, murdered my sons, and threatend my neighbors, they would need an awful lot of killing.
