I was at FODO yesterday to see the Army-Navy exhibit - and Jimmy Jobe and I talked about the book. I pointed out the four errors that I found in it. He told me that he told McKenny about the brick courthouse that replaced the one burned down in August, 1862, as not being built until after the war and standing until the early 1960s when it was torn down and replaced with the current courthouse. He said that McKenny wanted to believe that Hinson jumped out of the brick courthouse!
Kind of hard to jump out of something that was not there!
