Thank you for this info. There is a J.J. Perry in Morgan's Men. I'm not sure where Morgan's Men formed or if men from Tennessee enlisted in this regiment. Another longshot.

Given a common name & lack of a pension record, or other verifiable info, I believe it impossible to claim relationship to a soldier without guessing.
