Stewart's Division was created in the spring of 1863 near Tullahoma, Tenn with Major General AP Stewart in command and consisting of Generals Bushrod Johnson's TN Brigade, Henry Clayton's Alabama Brigade, John C. Brown's Tennessee Brigade, and William Bate's Brigade of Tennesseans, Georgians, and Alabamans. The Division was part of the Army of Tennessee.

Lee
