Hi George!

About ten years ago, I started going through muster rolls hoping to learn all the men who died of wounds or disease during Longstreet's Campaign.

I went through the Georgia Infantry roster and it was published in Tennessee Ancestors in 2001.

I know where the cemetery is and will contact Rick Fox who owns the property. It is about two or three miles from me.

The Hazen papermill was across Middlebrook from the house. The grave yard is not marked and is behind Middlebrook, the Hazen home. Asa Hazen and his wife, who was a sister to Gideon Morgan, the grandfather of General John Hunt Morgan built the home seems like in the 1830's. It has been altered greatly! The papermill no longer exists.

Many folks do not believe in dousing or divining rods, but I do. Now know how to use them. Fred Brown who is a columnist at the Knoxville News Sentinel put me in touch with Inez and Earl Adams. We met at Middlebrook about ten years ago and she found the cemetery immediately. Rick had found a map of the property from the 1870's which showed a cross-hatched area with no identification. This is the cemetery.

I talked with Rick not long ago about erecting some sort of marker there. He is favorable but wants no publicity.
