Yes-the peach orchard it's self was just in front of the left flank of the 'Hornet's nest'position with 'Bloody Pond" not to far off. Johnson was hit while directing operations against Prentiss's position(aka 'the Hornets Nest') although he was not leading an assualt but was watching in the immediate rear.
