William Sloan was involved with the AoT all thru the Chickamauga/Chatanooga campaigns, winter quarters at Tunnel Hill, GA. Then thru the Atlanta Campaign, and Wheelers failed raid to E. Tennessee, and followed Sherman's March to the Sea, and onto North Carolina Bentonville Battle, and Johnston's Surrender.
He didn't like Wheeler and crew leaving to follow Davis out of the country, instead of surrendering with his men!
