Kevin, the problem is that publishers publish what has a big appeal. Most things like this have to be self-published, and that can be a lot of work. I know because I have self-published about 8 books. I believe most counties have someone who takes a great interest in things like this, and don't always go public. The other problem is just how much material is available on a subject. Calling the local genealogy and history library and asking if there is such a person in the county in question can usually ascertain if there is such a person. I am the one for my county (Sevier), and do extensive research in matters that concern my area.
