The Tennessee in the Civil War Message Board

Re: Wade H. Curtis 10th. TN Inf. Vols.

Beulah,
Thanks for your response.
I have just now scratched the surface of Tennessee Civil War alignments and loyalties, I appreciate your help.
The information I posted in regards to Wade Hampton Curtis's burial site was stated in the pention application filed by the guardian of his children left alone after the death of their mother. Further research on my part, via Find A Grave does indeed show his burial in the Nashville National Cemetery.
Wade's brother, my ggGrandfather, after moving to Arkansas along with several siblings joined the 14th. Powers Inf. and fought at the battle of Pea Ridge as a confederate, after his one year of service he later joined the Arkansas 2nd. Vol. Inf. S.W. Missouri and Northern Arkansas seemed to have complicated political divisions that turned out to be "walk a mile in my shoes" situations, however, I need help in understanding the Federal mindset East of the Mississippi river.
The names you sited on your reply will put me on the right track to researching the subject matter of my interest.
I live on 'Telegraph Road" about 3 mile North of the Pea Ridge Battlefield. If I can ever be of assistance in my geographical area, please do not hesitate to ask.
Thanks, SD
