Dale,

Thanks so much !! Leroy's mother was Malinda Land a sister of my g,g,grandfather, David Land. For the last couple of years I've been researching my North Carolina Confederate Ancestors and just recently found Leroy. I've got the Lands and I believe about all the branches of families that intermarried with them. Our library doesn't have the North Carolina books. I've had to wait till we visit my wife's family in Louisville, Kentucky and go to the HUGE library there and even they don't have a compleate set ! My g,g,grandfather, David Land served in Co. I 13th N.C. Inf.
In post war records he's mistakenly named at times as David Lane. Most of my Land ancestors were from Wilkes County. Some ended up in Alexander and Caldwell. You've been a great help! I may have to call again sometime Many Thanks and God Bless.

Glenn
