Re: Irish Texans and the Sabine Pass

Dick Dowling's Irishmen were members of the Davis Guards of the 1st. Texas Heavy Artillery. I know of no McNulty's Regiment of Texas troops, however Leander McNelly, a famous Texas Ranger after the War,did lead a Company of Scouts in the Trans-Mississippi. Check out the articles about Dowling, the Davis Guards, Leander McNelly and everything else Texan at THE HANDBOOK OF TEXAS ONLINE (WWW.TSHA.UTEXAS.EDU/HANDBOOK/ONLINE)
