I have recently located the grave of one of my ancestors in the Texas State Cemetery. The headstone text is: L. M. Mays 1843-1929 Co.C, Duff's Reg. Barn's Brig. He is buried in the Confederate Field, Section 1, Row X, number 36. Can anyone give me any information on the outfit he was attached to? I'm not even sure of the State where he signed up. Any information is truly appreciated.
