I have recently discovered that another relative supposedly joined Captain Blair's Company "G" 32nd Cavalry. Johann Carl Schorlemer was nineteen years of age in 1864 and wanted to serve, but I have not found his name on a roster, likely because of the late entry into the conflict.

Can anyone explain the confusion in the ordinals for Wood's Regiment, known as 32nd and 36th Texas Cavalry. Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong places for the roster.
