At both Corinth an Hatchie Bridge the 6th Texas was in Gen.C.W. Phifer's Brigade. In the same Brigade was the 1st. Battalion Arkansas Cavalry(Sharpshooters) commanded by Col. Ras Stirman. Blue and Gray magazine had an issue devoted to the Battle of Corinth in the Summer of 2002 that described the action of the 6th Texas and Stirman's Sharpshooters at that battle.(Back issues can be ordered) The excellent historian Peter Cozzens has also written a fairly recent book on the Battle of Corinth.
