Which one became the 33rd, Mr. Jordan? Between your two posts, you've said both became the 33rd.

All I know is that the extensive research I've done on the 14th (Johnson's 1st Regiment) is that it became dismounted, was heavily engaged then entire 4 years of the war, and there was never any reference to the 33rd.
