Thomas J. Jackson was not a bigot, he used to violate Virginia law by teaching black children the bible Sunday afternoons, after church. I think just that act would speak volumes about him.

That school district voted to keep the schol named as it was, we at S.H.A.P.E. provided enough information to stop the change and then gave them the name of a famous Mexican Soldier to replace the name if pressed, if I remember right the last name was Bienavides, but I could be wrong, that was a while back.
