I am looking for info on Joseph W. Evans. His wife's pension application states he was in the 31st Texas Calvary. Could not find him listed on a roster but there is a Joseph W. Evans listed on the 34th regiment. Is there another place I could find out his rank. The Sons of the Confederate Veterans is going to put a foot marker on this grave and need this info. Any help would be appreciated.
