Hello,

I have a citation from the Offical Records about a Col. James P. Major, formerly of the 2nd US Cavalry, who served under Gen. McCulloch at Pea Ridge, was coming back to texas to forma regiment of lancers.

Any ideas of what regiment this was? I cannot find his name in the Sifakis book on Texas.
