Re: T. D. Williams - Bourland Service

Maybe I didn't make myself clear. In his deposition he stated he joined at Honey Grove, TX in 1861 and fought at the Battle of Pea Ridge and also served under Captain James Bowlin sic. Bourland until 1865. I beg to differ with you but this is a primary document with secondary information in it because it was recorded some time after the actual event. It is proof he served in Bourland's unit and he was granted a C. W. Pension due to his deposition, along with the depositions by others who served with him.

However, I am glad others have information that I don't that I can prove or disprove. Since he went by "Thomas" - "T. D." and Thomas Davis, I will have to prove which service records are his.

Thanks for your input.
