The Texas in the Civil War Message Board

Co. B Texas Calvary CSA 1st Reg

Thanks Alan

I appreciate this information. I had heard that Sam H. Gray died sometime during the civil war. My souce did not give a date and did not say if it was war related or not. I cannot seem to find where he is buried or his date of death. I would like to order complete copies of his military service records and saw where I could do this on this site. So.
I am thinking I would like to order these as they may give me more information.

Thanks again for your information. I will check again on James Trimble Cozby. One of the notes I saw on him indicated he served in the CSA and I was thinking it was Company F of the 1st Texas Calvary but I may be mistaken. I know that he was involved in fighting Indians when he first came to Texas from Tennessee. When I have more information I will post another message.
