I am looking for an index to the Texas Indigent Confederate Veteran's and Widow's pensions by name, regiment and state. Many Georgia veterans settled in Texas post-bellum and I am attempting to locate those that were from the 34th, 36th, 39th, and 56th Georgia regiments. I have already located many from the 39th Georgia, however, that has been by sheer luck and a lot of assistance of veteran's descendants.

Texas is simply the best and inexpensive when it comes to acquiring copies of pensions.
