The Jasper Caldwell you reference would probably be the nephew of the Jasper Caldwell,Colwell I am researching. Jasper Caldwell is listerd the 1860 Census living in Walker County. married with children. He went to the Civil war with a man named Winters who survived the War and returned to marry Jasper's wife. Jasper;s marriage records are in Anderson County,Tx. I believe i found Jaspers record in papers with the name of Z Caldwell. Don't know why the Z but he entered the War with Winters at the same time and same regiment.
