Thank you for the information. Private O. Vanpool was Lieut. Obed Vanpool's son, who was almost old enough to shave. Obed, his father, was 36 when he rode 260 miles to join up near Hempstead, TX. I have copies of their service records, but I will have to check on Obed Jr. I think he died young. Again, I want to express my thanks to the subscribers of these lists for their help.
