Hi George, Am I understanding correctly? He's on the August 31, 1862 muster roll, but not on any roll after that? He lived until 1909. Is there a difference in the records that are on footnote and what you described as the compiled service records? I now have four pages on John Richard Coggins that a friend printed for me from footnote, but I've never seen a muster roll. I don't know where to look. I do have a copy of his pension application. Don't know if he was ever taken prisoner or where to look for that. Thank you so much for your help!! :o) Cathey
