Well- I thought things were cleared up but I am still confused and here's why. George A Thomason-Company A 18th TX Inf then there is a
George W. Thomason-Company C 18th TX Inf and finally a George W Thomason- Company B 17th TX Cav. All three of these Companies were formed in Cherokee County TX. Surely there cannot be 3 George Thomasons' living in the same county. Would it be more probable there are two George Thomasons' or could it be they are all the same person. Will I need to order each man's record to determine this? I have continually run into the confusing duplication of records done 80 years ago so this is not the first time. Without the help of the great folks on the Message Boards I might have given up long ago.
