Re: Andrew J. Martin, TX unit KIA Shiloh

Doug, I have problems with the KIA at Shiloh. I found three A. Martins in the National Parks Data Base of Confederate soldiers. None of these three died at Shiloh.
A. Martin, Co C 2nd Regt Texas Infantry. No records after release from parole at Vicksburg, MS 7 Jul 1863.
A. Martin and Andrew J. Co D 8th Texas Regt Infantry, on leave in 1865.
A. Martin also J.A.,13th Texas Volunteers, was in the hospital in 1864.
The second soldier was 18 years old. It would help if you knew where he enlisted. Casualty list from Shiloh do not have names, most of the time.
Do you have the court case? Was it to resolve his death and for family (wife and Children) to request a pension? More Questions.
There are a lot of Martins, but only a few A, AJ Andrew J.
I will keep looking for a Shiloh connection.
Maybe the others who keep records here at the website can help.
