Bunch - BLue - Howeth from Cooke and Grayson C

Teresa Regan,
.
I am so glad to hear from a direct descendant of Erastus Blue. In my 1,046-page book from handwritten records, I dedicated 18 pages to the Battle of Elm Creek. On one page I listed the men who we know were in the Battle of Elm Creek, including Sgt. Sim Jones, who may have been closely related to your John L. Jones.
.
BLUE, Erastus Osiaton Blue (1834 TX-killed Oct 13, 1864 Elm Creek Raid) m-Elizabeth Jane Bunch, who m,2-John L. Jones; 1860 Cooke County cen p253.
.
JONES, Sim Jones, Sgt. (killed Oct 13, 1864 Elm Creek Raid).
