William Henry Harrison Fields served in Company K, 5th TX, Hoods Brigade. I have found that he was wounded on 2 July 1863, captured and later died in a Union hospital in PA, according to one source on 16 July. His body was possibly taken to Richmond VA when many southern bodies were re-buried. I am looking to find information on which hospital or town he may have been taken to both during the actual battle and afterwards until his death. Searching for wounded soldier information has proven to be quite difficult for me so any help would be greatly appreciated.
