Dodson Brothers in the 9th Texas Cavalry

I'd appreciate any knowledge of the Confederate service records of J.N. Dodson ( Captain, Major, & Lt. Colonel ) Company A 9th Texas Cavalry. I also believe he had a brother, James ( or maybe Joshua ) Polk Dodson who died of disease at Okolona, Mississippi and is buried in the Confederate cemetery there. I'm a life-long resident of east Tennessee and not that familiar with the Texas troops. I understand the 9th Texas served prominently in the western theater. I've recently discovered both these men are probably in my family tree. Another brother, Jonathan Land Dodson served in Co.C 21st Texas Cavalry. He was named for his grandfather, my 4 x great-grandfather, Jonathan Land in North Carolina. Thanks again for any help anyone could give !
