Thanks Don....... What was the KGC ? I really don't have a lot on this branch of my family tree. It was a large family. Went west from Wilkes County,NC. Another was a Frances Marion Dodson that served in a Confederate unit from Texas. his father was a frontier doctor. One, James Polk Dodson would have already been in the Confederate army. Maybe he was awol ?
