The book, Ector's Texas Brigade and the Army of Tennessee, 1862-1865 is by David Stroud (1 book available on Amazon but overpriced) is very good. Mr. Stroud teaches at a University or College in Texas and I imagine can be directly contacted.
I also have info from the 1913 Confederate Veteran magazine which has my g-g grandfather, Samuel A. Jones obituary in it which references his service and capture at Spanish Fort. The veteran 32nd was placed in the rifle pits before the fort and were overrun by the yankees (I think Iowa troops). I read years ago in a magazine that I lent out and never received back that some of the Confederates in the rifle pits refused to surrender even at bayonet point. Mr. Stroud references the Confederate Veteran obit of my g-g grandfather.
