Re: Co.G 34th.Alexander's Texas Cavalry

Thanks so much, Mike. I was aware that they were in Stewart Creek 1860 but I did not know they had a slave? Thanks so very much, I just had never imagined they had a slave, for some reason it never crossed my mind.

Isn't it odd that his son did not join when he did? I guess he was just 15 years old but Fowler's hopped around state to state and William Fowler is as common as John Smith so if he joined he could have joined in MO, AR or Indiana or anywhere. I had HEARD that John C. & William David were both in the Civil War and after the war they went to up around Joplin, MO and worked in a mine. Sure enough, John C. Fowler was in Newton Co., MO working in a mine, 1870, but I have no idea where William David Fowler was?

William David Fowler, born @1845, MO, was on the Saline Co., MO Census 1850 and on the 1860 Denton Co., TX Census and I never located him on a Census again, he was dead by 1884, his son was born Jan 6, 1880 in Searcy Co., AR but no William David Moore anywhere, 1870 or 1880.

I hope someday I locate them and find a reason they moved so often and such great distances.

Thanks again and good luck with all your searches.
