You are correct up to a point. Those few soldiers of the Texas units that servived prision where in April 1863 exchanged and sent to fight with Lee's Army of Northern Va.. After Chancellorsville,the Texans weren't needed and issued orders to return west to Mississippi. But upon reaching Tennessee were issued new orders assigning them to Maj. Gen.
