One of the engagements to the east of Richmond in June, 1864 was Gary's brilliant defense at Samaria Church. However, the Federal accounts invariably refer to it as St. Mary's Church. I am told that the correct spelling is Samaria. Who can provide information on the church, and the precise location of it viz a vie the area where the engagement was fought?
