I understood that the Yankees didn't get the spelling right, and that its Samaria Church, as you indicated. Do you know if it was a Methodist, Baptist, or whatever denomination? And exactily where was it located. For some reason, I can't find it on my battlefield maps, though I may not be looking right. I'm trying to orient it in relation to the actual fighting. If it was behind the CSA lines, it may have been used as a field hospital, and some of the men who died there may be buried in the church cemetery, if there was one.
