One of the Kincheloes took over the unit after Brawner stepped down- I think he joined the reg cavalry- If you do a search in the OR you will find references to "Kincheloe's men"or "Kincheloe's bunch"-they were responsible for several guerrilla-style attacks along the Orange and Alexandria near Sangster's and Union Mills Stations in 1862-63 in Prince William and Fairfax Co's- Barrett
